Sealed lead acid battery is one of the oldest rechargeable battery which has high surge currents, which means it has a high relatively power-to-weight ratio.
Unlike normal lead-acid battery, sealed lead acid battery is designed with a low voltage potential to prevent reaching gas-generating state during charge and water depletion. Sealed lead acid battery are easy to maintain and less expensive. However, it is usually bulky and heavy (can weight a few pounds).
